Ron always began the day with a cup of coffee in one hand his wife’s hand in the other as they sat together in their beautiful yard discussing their dreams and aspirations. It was truly a blessed time. He used his God-given talents to help others in their small neighborhood when repairs were needed; he never refused to give a helping hand. Because of this a remarkable bond of friendship was fostered within the community.
Ron enjoyed extensive travel by car to experience the beauty and history of the United States. A proud member of the United States Marine Corps., serving in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War. He loved our country and the conservative ideals it was built upon.
Ron and his wife, Susan, spent time doing mission work in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with an organization that provided help to an area called “Children of the Dump.” He also spent much time in Chinle, AZ refurbishing buildings for the Trinity Presbyterian Church of the Navajo Nation.
He was a true craftsman! His passion for woodworking led to the remodeling of houses, building of furniture, making clocks, windchimes and numerous other beautiful creations. He will be missed by all those whom he loved.
