I recently learned Rose passed away.  She was the best of friends with my grandmother Fannie (who passed 2/22/19 at 99years old).  I have many fond memories with my grandmother and Rose. She was so kind, sweet, and funny.  I loved all the adventures they would go on together.  My deepest condolences to you all.

My sincere condolences to Michele, Joe and Laurie.  Rose was a beautiful lady.  I have many fond memories of her from my childhood in Lake Riviera.  Back in the early 80's while Rose and her dad, Mr. Schillaci were visiting New Orleans, we met for a lovely lunch.  Unfortunately that was the last time I saw her.  If I had only known that Rose and Michele were living in Sarasota, while I was practically next door in Northport, I would have made it a point to make contact.   May you rest in peace Rose.

A Rose, is a Rose, is a Rose. I see the love and goodness in Rose in this beautiful picture taken on March 3, 2020 in Sarasota. Rose, I will always miss your sparkling smile, sense of humor, and the love that you showered on Tony and Michelle throughout your life. You and Michelle had a special bond as mother and daughter. Celebration of St.Patty's Day with Rose, Michelle and Tony on March 16,2024. As we Chicagoans say: "Everyone is Irish on St.Patty's Day!" We sure enjoyed the party at Rose's Place.  Rose was well loved by everyone at her facility.

Rose was an excellent Mahjong player. I enjoyed playing with her & learned a lot from her.

So sorry to my friend Michele and her family? Rose was a sweet and loving lady. Michele was a great daughter and spent so much time and care for Rose here in Sarasota .
I met Rose at Ashton Lakes for the swim classes and continued seeing her for many years for Mah Jongg and lunches out.
She was loved and respected by all who met her!

Rose was one of my first friends when Ned and  I retired to Sarasota. I met  her daughter Michelle first through my sister, but when I expressed a wish to bowl she had me join her woman’s team. Rose was in her 80’s then. Age did not stop her-so many laughs, good times at various lunches at different restaurants here in Sarasota. She was truly a kind, thoughtful  woman with a great sense of humor. I envied the mother /daughter relationship and bond Michelle and Rose had as I lost my mother in her early 50’s.
