Ruben,
I never told you this but in 2016, you saved my life. I was going through the worst heartbreak in my life and you saw my suffering and summoned me into your office and spent an hour listening to my pain. You gave me much needed therapy, you were a friend and father figure that Summer as you let me endlessly ramble every day about my ex. You helped me more than you will ever know. Thank you for your time, rest in paradise.

M.C.

Is been a year already time flies I still sometimes think you’re still around and I then I realize you’re in a beautiful place now Rest In Peace my friend we will forever miss you . Until we meet again.

My racquetball buddy. friend and colleague remains in my memories forever. Sending lots of love to his blessed wife and family.

I was stunned to hear of Rubens passing as I was preparing to call him and arrange my nursing students to come for a tour. He was so friendly and accommodating. May the family be Blessed with his memory. Michelle Glower Keiser University.

I still can't believe you left us so soon God needed an angel for a reason
Ruben and I grew up together visiting family gathering but one
Thing always happened when we were called for dinner
We both turned our heads didn't have a clue who they were talking about
Rest in peace tocayo tu primo hermano Ruben aka Puchie

My funny caring Primo,
I was so looking forward to finally getting together like we were both hoping. You were always so kind, made me laugh and always put a smile in my face. You impersonating Stevie Wonder at Titi Helen’s house brings a smile to me always and now takes some of the tears away. The boys are so grown with their beautiful families, and Lourdes as beautiful inside and out as I remember. I’m comforted that I have faith I will see you once again.

Praying for peace comfort strength to la familia. In my heart and prayers always,
Tu prima

I don't even know what words could explain my grief..I spoke to Ruben less than 2 weeks ago.. The conversation was light-hearted and humorous as usual..He was on his way home from work..I gave him scrap about turning 60..He reminded me that I turned 60 just 3 weeks before him.. So he called me "old man".. We had a lot of good times together, hanging out watching our sons play football,softball,etc..Racquetball at Bunker Hills for 3 hours at a time..Beer and chicken wings after upstairs..He loved his family and friends and would do absolutely anything to help them..He was a man of Faith..He will be missed..I know where he is right now...Looking down at us ..Lourdes, if you need anything/help PLEASE let me know..I can help plan something in Minnesota if you decide to do that in the future...Don..612-986-1333..

My deepest condolences to the family. Ruben was always kind, caring, hard worker, and had a fun since of humor! I will miss him and know he will truly be missed! If Ruben was in the area of the lab he would stop by and say hi. Ruben would often ask me to pray for him to give him strength, which I did .
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. May God bless you, give you comfort, strength, and peace during the difficult time.

To start off Im Raiza. I used to work at Sarasota Sherriffs Office in Crime Scene and I remember when I met Rubin. Whenever I had to go to his job, he was always so funny and knew how to put a smile on my face no matter what kind of day I was having. He was such a kind hearted person to me and would help me whenever I needed. Im so sad to hear this news. 😔 Rubin was always positive and I felt like he was someone I could always talk to if something was wrong. Ill always have him and his family in my prayers 🙏. I send my condolences to his family in every way. Rubin will be missed greatly 💜

My heart breaks. We met through mutual friends here in the Twin Cities and bonded immediately- two NYC transplants with shared upbringing and love for paddleball, racquetball and breaking bread with loved ones. Descanses en paz mi hermano tocayo

Mi Primo Hermano..this is so hard..I was blessed to be related to you..You loved your Uncle Frankie..my dad..you always reminded me of how much you loved him ..for always being there for you..Rueben....your infectious smile..laughter are imprinted In my soul for eternity..I'll never forget our outing where you were so gracious and I sang during karaoke..I WILL LOVE ❤ YOU FOREVER CUZ

All my condolences to Ruben's family. He was such a funny, kind-hearted man & always willing to help (even with shenanigans!). There are so many little details & memories I will miss - our office won't be the same without him. Even being patient with me trying to learn these Marc Anthony lyrics in Spanish, the song actually represents him in so many ways:
Voy a reír, voy a bailar, vivir mi vida (lalalalala)
Voy a reír, voy a gozar, vivir mi vida (lalalalala)
Rest in peace & love, Ruben. I will miss you.

Ruben & Lourdes! We met here in MN
Many years ago we clicked right away and started to build memories . We both as parents were raising boys and it was fun to share moments with all of them
Then you moved to Florida and we visit
Always in touch …
We will miss you Ruben!!!!
Now Rest In Peace!!!!
Love Rafael & DD

We are very sorry for the loss of a friend a brother a great husband to my dear friend Lourdes and his 3 kids and the rest of the family mourning the loss of a dear human. We will miss you 🥰 see you in heaven Ruben.

Our hospital departments are at the end of the same corridor and working alongside Ruben was one of the best parts of my job - sharing family stories or a good laugh. Ruben had a loving, compassionate heart and will be deeply missed by not only me, but all of us in the department.

I am so sorry to hear of Ruben's passing. We worked together at Industrial Netting. He was a wonderful person and I only wish to extend my sympathies to his entire family - from myself and so many others of us here in Minnesota.
