Ruth is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ronald McAmis, two daughters Brenda Hooks (Jamie), and Barbara Frost (Barry), two grandchildren, Jessica Paul (Tony) and Weston Hooks, and two great-grandchildren, Shane Alday and Riley Paul.
Ruth was a Christan and member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Sarasota.
Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11 am at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue in Sarasota. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service.
