Sandra Jean Granstaff

Sandra Jean Granstaff, 81, of Sarasota, Florida, spread her final set of wings and peacefully passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving daughters. Known to everyone as a truly beautiful soul, Sandy lived a life overflowing with pure happiness and unconditional love.

Born on November 24, 1944, in Canton, Ohio to Gerald and Thelma Geese. Sandy was a woman who found absolute joy in the world around her. Her happiest days were spent surrounded by the people she loved most; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Watching them grow, hearing their laughter, sharing in their milestones, and simply having them close brought her a kind of joy that words can hardly describe. Her laugh was infectious, her smile was constant, and she possessed the rare gift of being genuinely happy all the time.

She was a fiercely proud mother to her children, Vicki, Jerry, Vera and Valerie. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth and beautiful memories for her family, her friends and everyone she ever met.

Sandy is survived by children Vicki (Chuck), Jerry (Cissy), Vera (Brian), Valerie; Sisters Patty, Cindy; 11 Grandchildren; 18 Great grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband Glenn of 52 years; Father and Mother Gerald and Thelma; Sister Nora; Grandmother Nora; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Jess and Vera; Son-in-law Jeff; Brother in laws Dewey and Bruce.
