Born on September 4, 1948, in Boulder, Colorado, Sharlene was a cherished and loving wife, parent, friend and a source of joy to everyone who knew her.
Sharlene had a gift for making others smile, offering comfort, and inspiring those around her. Whether it was bringing others together, spending time with loved ones, having brunch with her many dear friends, or sharing a smile and hug while watching Crayola sunsets with Thunder and Bob, she enjoyed every moment.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Hillier. Also, she leaves a son Erik (Stacy) Hillier, daughter Darlene (Eric) Hookstra, and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Milburn, who will forever treasure the memories of laughter, love, and shared moments.
Friends and family are invited to come together, share stories, and honor the beautiful life that Sharlene shared on January 24, 2026, from 1:30-3:00 at the George W. Potter Building, Sarasota Fairgrounds at 2896 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34237.
