Shirley Edythe Altmark

Shirley Edythe (Webb) Altmark of Sarasota, FL passed away quietly while in hospice on May 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Milton Altmark for 55 years until his death in 2014. She is survived by her sons, Alan Altmark (Karen Miller) and Barry Altmark; grandchildren, Ethan and Annabelle Altmark; and her companion of many years, Jerry Albritton. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, and her parents, James and Winnie (Endicott) Webb.

Born in Hominy, OK Shirley graduated from high school in Vera, OK and went on to earn her nursing degree at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She went on to work as a Registered Nurse at Hillcrest, continuing her career at North Kansas City Hospital, and concluding it with work at a rehab facility in Sarasota. Along the way, she found time to raise a family with Milton, and to learn to fly, earning her private pilot's license.

Shirley was an active member of her community, devoting much of her time to her local B.P.O. Elks Lodge.

She was loved and respected by many friends and family and she will be missed by all.
