After high school, Shirley took classes at Burdett College to learn secretarial skills, including shorthand.
Shirley worked for the Navy Yard in Boston, MA. It was in Boston where she met and married her husband David. They would then relocate to Stow, MA where they raised their two children.
Shirley and David happily retired to North Port, FL. After settling in Florida, they enjoyed several traveling adventures, including multiple trips to Europe. They also loved taking cruises with their friends.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She nurtured a deep passion for music – relishing old musicals on television, attending live performances and frequenting symphonies.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, David; brother, Norman Goldberg; and sister, Ruth Tamkin.
She is survived by her children, Robert Greene (Linda) and Leslie Morawski (Mark); grandchildren, Michelle Morawski and Michael Greene (Theresa); and great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan Greene.
