Cherishing his memories he leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Eva Martin, his daughters, Lori Martin and Shawn Martin, grandsons Jarrod Eick and wife Laura Eick (Bess), Lucas Eick, Aaron Brothers, great grandson Emmett Eick and great niece Nichole and nephew Sid. Also left behind are his brother-in-law Anthony (Thuy) Troia, sister-in-law Mary Crawford and brother-in-law Joseph (Mary) Troia and nieces Melissa and Natalie and great niece Scarlett. He is predeceased in death by his parents Kermit Wayne Martin and Ruby Martin (Headley), brother Robert Martin, sister Nancy Martin, nephew Sidney Martin and brother-in-law Dale Crawford.
Sid was born in Chester, West Virginia, on November 5, 1938. He graduated from Chester High School in 1956. He worked most of his life in auto manufacturing at General Motors and Volkswagon. He also had a passion for golf which he loved playing with his friends Butch Cunningham, John Sheridan, Cliff Green, Dale Crawford (deceased), Rich Ambrose (deceased), Dick Klug (deceased), Nick Blazakis (deceased) and Fran Hicks (deceased). Sid loved to read and listen to Pavarotti and 50’s and 60’s music.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, West Virginia which Sid always considered “home”.
Sid was and always will be my prince charming and love of my life. He was a gentle, soft spoken and sweet man who will be greatly missed by all. Until we meet again my love your memories will live on in our hearts.

The family wishes to extend to both places their deepest gratitude for the kind, compassionate and respectful care they provided to Sid.
