

Stanley Shenko, age 73 of Osprey, Florida, formerly of Toms River, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on April 18, 1952 in Vienna, Austria, and baptised on August 16, 1952 according to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, to the late Ingeborg M. (Topitz) Shenko and Stanley J. Shenko, both of Toms River, New Jersey.
Stanley was a United States Army, United States Air Force and Air Guard veteran and retiree.
He earned his Associates Degree at Ocean County Community College and his Bachelor's Degree at Stockton University.
Always in the pursuit of knowledge, he continued taking classes through community education, and the military where he was commended for his outstanding performance as an honors graduate, and the superior fashion in which he represented the United States Air Force.
Stanley was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Sarasota, Florida.
He enjoyed his retirement years being active in the church, and volunteering many places, including his time with the prison ministry.
Preceded in death by his sister, Inge Schiller and brother, Christopher Shenko,
Stanley is survived by his wife, Arlene Shenko; his daughter, Juliette Traina (David); grandchildren, Lilly and Maximilian Traina; stepdaughter, Tara Rodgers (Gary); step grandchildren, Jacob Rodgers and Cassidy Puggi; brothers, Albert Shenko and Joseph Shenko both of Panama City, Florida, Thomas Shenko of Brielle, New Jersey; sister, Janet Kirk of Whiting, New Jersey; brother in law, Robert Schiller of Macungie, Pennsylvania and sister in law, Pamela Shenko of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
The Funeral Mass will follow Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1900 Meadowood St, Sarasota, FL 34231 with the committal service with military honors following at 1:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
