

Susan was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Paul and Audrey Hinkle on April 18, 1947. She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1965 and was the Valedictorian of her class. She was a real estate agent and broker, a property manager at Siesta Harbor, and worked at Kennedy Space Center in the 1960s.
Susan was an incredibly talented actress, performing for many years at The Golden Apple in Sarasota, Florida, as well as at the Sandhills Theater and Manny’s Dinner Theater in Southern Pines, North Carolina. She had a vibrant personality and filled every room she entered with laughter and fun. Her presence was felt by all and her wit, charm, humor, and intelligence made every interaction memorable.
Susan was predeceased in death by her parents, Paul and Audrey Hinkle and her ex-husband Jack Chapman. She spent the last 30 years with her partner Richard Larmer.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Ashley Sobkiw (Bohdan Sobkiw, Jr.), stepchildren Camille Chapman, John Chapman, Jr., and Carole Marshall (Brian Marshall), her granddaughter, Britnee Schomber, great-grandchildren, Jaxson Alexander and Nova Riley, her sister, Paula Hinkle Clark and brother, James Hinkle.
