Born on July 14, 1955, in Watertown, New York, to Gerald G. Lawrence and Mary Irwin Lawrence, Terry dedicated much of her life to caring for others. For more than 30 years, she worked as a private duty nurse, providing compassionate care, comfort, and kindness to her patients. Her caring nature extended far beyond her profession, as she had a heart that was always open to helping others. Above all, Terry loved her family fiercely. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her loved ones, especially her granddaughters, Tessa and Tyla Zuczek, and her bonus grandchildren, Thomas and Taylor. She was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother.
Terry's faith in God was an important part of her life, and she had a deep passion for animals. Her love for all living creatures was evident in the many animals she cared for, including cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, and pigs. Her home was a reflection of her generous heart, where family, friends, and animals alike were always welcomed.
Terry was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Kelley; her longtime partner, Kevin Lang; and her siblings, Sonney Lawrence, Billy Lawrence, Linda Lawrence, and Wendy Lawrence.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Tina Kelley, and Tina's partner, DJ Elliott; her cherished granddaughters, Tessa Zuczek and Tyla Zuczek; her bonus grandchildren; her sisters, Diana Roach and Barbara Galloway; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend, Amy McClure, whose friendship was a treasured part of her life, as well as the many animals who were fortunate enough to call her their caretaker.
Terry will be remembered for her fierce love of family, her compassion for others, and her boundless love for animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Kelley residence. Light snacks will be provided. Family and friends are welcome to come together to share memories, celebrate Terry's life, and honor the love she leaves behind.
