Born August 2, 1955 in Zamboanga City, Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Abundio and Candida Dela Serna.
Thelma became a RN and left her home country and went to work in Saudi Arabia where she met her late husband, Charles W. Lawson Sr. After they married in 1988, they settled in Sarasota, Fl.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Maria and Sylvia and many nieces and nephews in the Philippines. She is also survived by stepson, Kenneth Lawson; stepdaughter, Vickie Howes; step grandchildren, Kari Caster, Zachary, Benjamin, Rebecca Howes, David, Aaron and Colin Lawson.
Besides her husband and parents she is predeceased by, two sisters, NeNe and Honey; stepson, Charles W. Lawson Jr., stepson, David E. Lawson; step grandson, William E. Lawson and step granddaughter, Callie M. Lawson.
Thelma will be missed not only by her family but also by friends and neighbors.
There will be no viewing and the funeral will be private and at a later time.
