Thomas W. Veith

Tom graduated from Central High School. He grew up in Toledo alongside his lovely younger sister, Kathy Dusseau (Richard) and cousin Loren Streib. He was employed by Foodtown Grocery Store as an assistant manager for the Toledo area stores. Later he was hired by the Florida Citrus Commission to move to Livonia, MI as a marketing and field supervisor over Michigan and Ohio area. The cold winters got the best of him so he moved to Sarasota, FL to start his own uniform and apparel embroidery company, Veith and Associates. Tom built up a very successful company and supplied uniforms to the Sarasota County School Board, Sarasota County Utilities Dept. and others. His resort division was widespread in the area even hotels in Sanibel Island, Marco Island and as far as Scottsdale, AZ and Las Vegas.

Tom was married to Ann Lumbattis Veith for 50 beautiful years and was so proud of his son, Bryan Veith (Julie), a Civil engineer and grandchildren, Logan and Marissa Veith.

He was a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, and coached Little League for many years in Livonia, MI.

Tom collected Corvettes from various years, while winning many trophies in car shows in Livonia and Sarasota. His wife finally had to find a room for his trophies alone. GM actually used one of his cars in a special display and used his 1970 corvette convertible in one of their publications. He was especially proud of his restored 1957 red Chevrolet convertible. He also had a love for Aviation, which he had his single engine pilot's license

Tom was particularly fond of dogs that he owned throughout his life, and his smart mustached parakeet Bandit, who he taught to talk.

We will miss him so much as he was a very special husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend.
