Tom Schieb

Tom Schieb was born August 15, 1947, to John and Jane Schieb in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1990. He had two dear sisters, Pat and Kathy. Tom married the love of his life Sally Kinney on October 16, 1971, and they enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. They had many grand adventures, from traveling to every home Ohio State football game to going to Gospel concerts any chance they got. They rarely spent a moment apart. His love for her was the defining characteristic of his life. He worked at Ford Motor Credit Company in Dearborn, Michigan as an accountant for 20 years before moving to Florida. After moving, he worked at Faith Baptist Church as the business manager until 2005. Tom was a Christ-filled servant and was a faithful volunteer for decades at Faith Baptist Church and spent countless hours volunteering at The Classical Academy of Sarasota. He was adored by all who knew him and will be missed greatly. His was a life well-lived. We celebrate the memory of his life and his love and look forward to the day when we will see him again. Tom is survived by his wife, Sally; his sister Kathy (George) Kasper; and his niece Allison Waxler. A memorial service for Tom will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 8751 Fruitville Road, Sarasota. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, or to The Classical Academy of Sarasota.
