She was born July 1, 1930 in Jamestown, NY to Roy and Virginia Strong.
Virginia graduated for Lakeland High School. She worked for Sears in Lakeland until her retirement. Virginia was a member of Old Miakka Methodist Church and Vamo Methodist Church, active in the food pantry for many years and the Flying Red Hats.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Dr. L.A. Rehberg in 1987 and Glen Glendening in 2010 and her loving sister, Sylvia Berry.
Virginia is survived by her children, Philip Rehberg of Bartow and Michael Rehberg of Lakeland; siblings, Cindy Schneider and Richard Strong; grandchildren, Toni Rehberg and Chris Roberts.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Fri., July 17, 2015 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, Sarasota, FL.
Graveside services will be held on Sat. July 18, 2015 at 10 am at Old Miakka Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
