He is survived by his wife, Betsy; sons, Michael Niemczak, Thomas Niemczak; grandchildren, Eston Niemczak, Libby Niemczak; brother, Tom Niemczak (Judy); sister, Barbara Johnson (Gary); brother-in-law, Bill Rutz (Becky); cousin, Raye Minor (Sue); nieces, Rachel Rocco, Sarah Johnson; nephew, Joshua Johnson.
A loving husband and father, Walter retired from Sears after 25 years as a service technician. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the ASA/NSA Branch. Walter was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sarasota and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago Heights where he was a church trustee for many years.
A funeral service will be held 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
