William Maurice "Bill" Nave, 89, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Fairfield, CT. died October 3, 2010.
Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Palms - Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Sarasota, FL.
He was the beloved husband of Jane Nave and an exceptional and loving role model for his daughters and grandchildren.
Mr. Nave was a successful and valued executive with General Electric for forty-five years. Among other life-time achievements; Bill was proud of being a member of a research team that developed a classified project which played a key role in the success of World War II. The project is on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
Bill was an accomplished musician, artist and humanitarian who generously shared these gifts with everyone he knew. Bill and Jane were original members of The Jazz Club of Sarasota and members of The Meadows Country Club. Bill will be dearly missed.
