

Frances Carol Buehler, age 88, of Scarsdale, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026.
Frances was born on November 26, 1937 in the Bronx, NY, to late parents Charles and Rose Gagliardotto of Italy. The oldest of three children, she grew up in the Bronx. On October 4, 1958, Frances married Alfred Buehler and went on to celebrate 54 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2013. Together, they made their home in Scarsdale where they raised their two daughters, Carole and Lori, and where Frances resided for the past 60 years.
Frances was a highly regarded realtor in Scarsdale for over 50 years, and took immense pride in her successful career. A top producer in Southern Westchester real estate, she earned numerous professional honors, including recognition as a “Multi-Million Dollar Producer”, awards from the Westchester County Board of Realtors, and Houlihan Lawrence’s 2011 Platinum Award. Yet, those who knew Frances best will remember not only her accolades, but the strength of her character and her devotion to her family. Frances will be remembered dearly for her strong will, sharp wit, and unwavering determination.
Frances is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Alfred Buehler, her parents, Charles and Rose Gagliardotto, and her brother, Charles Gagliardotto, who predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Ann (William) Staib, her daughters, Carole (Alok) Kumar, and Lori (Remie) Smith, and her five grandchildren, Nicole (Joseph) Battinelli, Kevin Kumar, Remie Smith, Keith Smith, and Jessica Smith. Frances was very proud of her loving family and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great-granddaughter who is expected later this year.
Friends and family may visit the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home in Scarsdale, NY on Tuesday, June 16th between the hours of 4-8pm. Funeral Service is on Wednesday, June 17th at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Crane Road, Scarsdale, NY. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
