James Consaga

Jame's life was shaped by steady effort, deep devotion to those around him, and a generosity that showed itself in both word and deed. He met life with a grounded sense of responsibility, offering kindness freely and standing by the people who counted on him.

At only thirteen years of age James was awarded the Annual Citizen Award for Outstanding Performance by the Westchester County Detectives Association, for a tremendous act of courage in assisting the Tuckahoe Police Department in solving a crime. He attended Eastchester High School, loved playing football and was captain of the team in his senior year. James later attended Wagner College, carrying forward the same determination that would define his years to come.

In White Plains, New York, James managed a flower shop with his father Joseph until his passing. He then built his livelihood through hard work and perseverance, owning and operating A Man With A Van & More Movers Inc. In this work, he was known for his reliability and the care he brought to serving others -- approaching each day with loyalty to his commitments and respect for the people he helped.

Outside of work, James found joy in the things that energized him. He loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins, and he loved to work out---pursuits that reflected his discipline and steady spirit. He also loved music, especially the music of Elton John, and was an avid concert goer.

He is pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Consaga and his mother Mary Ann Baccari and is survived by his step mother Cathleen Consaga. He is survived by his siblings Jeff Consaga of Cold Spring, NY, Mark Consaga of Brewster NY, Chris Consaga of Fishkill, NY, Patricia Costakis of Cuddebackville, NY, Marcus Consaga of Hopewell Junction, Catherine Bakker of New Paltz, Paul Costakis of New Jersey and Christine Cabagnaro of Pennsylvania

along with several nieces.

James Consaga will be remembered with gratitude and respect, for a life marked by diligence, loyalty, good humor, and a kind-hearted generosity that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2026 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Road, Scarsdale, followed by interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, NY.
