A proud Navy veteran, Bobby dedicated his life to service and helping others. He was immensely proud to have celebrated 55 years as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. As a dedicated drug and alcohol counselor, his guidance, empathy, and wisdom touched and transformed many lives throughout his career.
Bobby was incredibly smart and blessed with a great sense of humor. He was a passionate lover of cats, possessed a remarkably big heart, and was a deeply loving brother and son.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Veronica Mellon, Theresa Resnick (Alan), and Ellen Spatafore (Ernie), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. We will miss him immensely, and we know that his presence will be deeply missed by his family, his many friends, and the community he served so faithfully.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Bennett Funeral Home, located on Scarsdale Avenue in Scarsdale, New York, on Friday, October 30, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31, at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bobby’s memory to the ASPCA or to a local animal shelter of your choice to honor his great love for cats.
