Seth Sumner Smith

He graduated from Scarsdale High School in 1966, and Elmhurst College in 1970. After College he joined the family construction business Percy L. Smith Construction while he attended Law School. He graduated from Pace University with a JD in 1981 and the Pace University Lubin School of Business with an MBA in 1985.

Following graduation from law school he worked for American International Group and LVL Claims for 25 years and retired in 2015. Seth was a long time member of the Scarsdale Rotary Club and a member of the Pace University Alumni board for 13 years.

He and his family lived in Briarcliff Manor for 43 years where they raised their family of six children.

He is survived by his wife Linda Kohl Smith, two daughters Perian Foss (Eric), Bryn Smith, four sons, Damian Smith (Nicole), Jared Smith (Suga), Kieran Smith (Sarah), Sean Smith, and a brother Joel Smith (Gail) and nine Grandchildren, Haley Foss, Kayla Foss, Cameron Smith, Sophie Smith, Sela Smith, Harrison Smith, Ava Smith, Liam Smith and Kohl Smith.

Visitation will be held at Bennett Funeral Home Saturday June 28, 2025 from 4-7P.
