Lucille Kirk, formerly of Whiting, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2018.

Lucille was born August 13, 1926, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Earl and Ruth Plummer. Also preceding her death are her beloved husband, Leonard Kirk and brother, Ray Plummer.

Survivors are her sons, Jim Kirk (Ruth), Gene (Carol) Kirk, Larry Kirk (Lorrie); grandchildren, Gina Giordano, Karen Kirk, Diana Backscheider, Kevin Kirk, Jon Kirk, Rachelle Botts, Greg Kirk, and Josh Kirk; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Martine (Walter) Johnson; sister-in-law, Betty Plummer.

Lucille was a retired manager for the Whiting 5 & 10, and loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a charter and faithful member of Whiting Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of her funeral at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, IN 46307). Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. To leave online condolences please visit www.chapellawnfunerals.com
