NOLAN EUGENE REEVES "DUCKIE" VILLAGES, FL FORMERLY OF HAMMOND Nolan "Duckie" Reeves, age 78, of The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2013 in Florida with his loving wife of 31 years at his side. Duckie was born on September 29, 1935 to the late Harold Eugene (Jim) and Mabel Reeves. After graduating from Hammond High School he selflessly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Hammond Public School System as a maintenance foreman. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Reeves; three brothers and their wives; one sister; three stepchildren; grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Leah Dean. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
