Robert was born February 18, 1947, in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Elmer Eleanor (Sakely) Lucas. Also preceding him in death is his sister Janet Wonn.
On November 29, 1966, he married Kristin (Carlson) Lucas, who survives in Merrillville. Also surviving are his daughter Thyra (Michael) Germick, a granddaughter and “partner in crime”, Nicole Germick and grandpuppy, Laci.
Mr. Lucas retired as a security officer and was also a truck driver. He was a member of the Merrillville FOP, Indiana Police Alliance, and the NRA. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be private, and burial will be in Calumet Park Cemetery.
