Mr. Anderson was born October 4, 1921 in Taconite, Minnesota to Earl and Pearl (Trombley) Anderson.
Survivors include his wife Pauline (Couwenhoven) Anderson, his children David (Mary Jane) Anderson, Michael Anderson, and Beth (Bruce) Troutman, and his grandchildren, Rachel, Seth, Joanna, Kevin, Kelli, and Patrick. He is also survived by his stepchildren Sharon Quisp, Neil (Cathi) Van Schouwen, many step grandchildren, and a special gratitude towards step grandchild Lori Sonner for all her help.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; June and Kay.
Wallace was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as Master Sargent and serving in World War II. After his faithful service in the military, he then was a professor of History at Suomi University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 14 at 1:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 South Cline Ave.; Schererville, IN 46375) with visitation from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Homewood Memorial Gardens in Homewood, Illinois.
