Jo Anita Guarino, age 67, of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2019 after her 18 year battle with cancer. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 1st, 1952 to Paul and Virginia Guarino. Anita attended Northeast High School and proceeded to receive her cosmetology certificate. After her time in cosmetology, she spent her life developing her career as an owner of a residential cleaning business and property manager. She took great pride in her work, but also in being a loving mother, nana, and great nana. She had several passions including shopping, beauty and fashion, cooking and baking, travel, and politics. All of whom she loved and cherished deeply. Services will be held on Thursday December 5th at Green Acres Mortuary&Cemetery. Jennie and Family,

My Prayers are with you and Family in the passing of your Beloved Mother, Anita. From what you told me about her, she was a very courageous woman in her ongoing battle with cancer. Remember, she went to heaven right away where God had prepared a place for her. She was blessed to have you, her daughter, with all your love, help and support. She has no more pain now. God Bless you and Family, Richard De Mauro, Enchanted Canyon, Prescott

Though time and distance separated, we did share some wonderful times with Anita. Among our favorites were the cookies and cakes she made with love and would travel from from Arizona, package in tow to share with the family.
Her warmth and laughter will not be forgotten.
With much love and condolences,
The Carmenate/Paola families
