He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Eileen Sarate (nee GerGolla) and his children Anthony Michael Sarate II, and his wife Rachael and daughter Leslie. He was blessed with five grandchildren; Candace, Emily, Matthew, Olivia and Damian.
Tony loved his grandchildren very much. Tony also served in the United States Marines.
