She was born July 9th, 1926, the daughter of George and Elsie (Iske) Schmietenknop. On Octiber 27, 1943, she married Sterling Bradbury at St. Paul's Lutheran church in rural Hooper, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2001.
The family lived in the Hooper area until 1959 when they moved to the Phoenix area. Ardys worked in the accounting offices at Arizona State University until her retirement in 1980. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Friendship Chapter #122 O.E.S in Hooper.
Ardys is survived by two sons, Leigh Bradbury of Mountain View, California, and Jan Bradbury of Tempe, Arizona. Also one grandchild Jesse Sterling Bradbury of Phoenix, Arizona and one great grandchild, River Sterling Bradbury.
