

Arlyn Lee Jordan was born August 17, 1939 as the first child of Rink and Hattie Jordan of Edgerton, Minnesota. He was raised in Corsica, South Dakota, where he attended Corsica Christian School and Corsica High School from which he graduated in 1957.
Arlyn worked as a handyman before enlisting in the South Dakota Army National Guard in 1961. He later transferred to the Army Reserve in Michigan from which he was discharged in 1967.
Arlyn met Alva Jean Bergsma in 1969 and married her two years later. They initially made their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During the two years they lived there, their first son was born. The family relocated to the Phoenix area in 1973 eventually settling in Tempe where their daughter and second son were born.
While living in Michigan, Arlyn worked at the Keeler Brass Company from 1966 to 1973. Upon moving to Arizona, he began a 33 year career in the traffic barricade business working with Star-Lite Barricade, Woudenberg Enterprises, and United Rentals before retiring in 2006.
A lifelong member of the Christian Reformed Church, Arlyn was baptized in the First CRC in Edgerton, made his public profession of faith in the Corsica CRC, was married in the Sioux Falls CRC, belonged to the Alpine Avenue and Riverside CRC congregations in Grand Rapids, and made the Phoenix CRC his home church since moving to Arizona.
Arlyn was preceded in death by his wife (2017), father (1975), mother (1994), and sister Carol Patocka (1992).
Arlyn is survived by his son Kevin (wife Lynda), daughter Nelda, son Wayne (wife Kristin), brother Norman, and grandchildren Anna (husband Jesse Ewald), Jeremy, Jackie, Makaila, Madyson, Andrew, Henry, Anelyse, and Eli.
