Betty Mae Gorby

Born in Alliance, Ohio on August 31, 1924, Betty was the middle of five children born to Edwin and Emily Gfeller. Betty married Al Gorby in 1942. They had two children, Linda Wright Lulkovich and Eric Gorby (deceased). The family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1956 where they resided until later moving to Fountain Hills. Betty retired from the Scottsdale School District where she worked as a Cafeteria Manager. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, crafts and watching the Suns and D-Backs.

Betty is survived by two sisters, Joanne Shively, Lucille Rice, both of North Benton, Ohio, daughter Linda, son-in-law Tom Lulkovich, granddaughters Kim Kurzman, Stacey Muto, Jessica Murray, Erica Larsen, Emily Gorby and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, August 29th with memorial services at 9:30 am, Friday, August 30th, Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Reflections Hospice, 1840 E. University Drive, Mesa, AZ 85203, in loving memory of Betty Gorby.
