She was one of ten surviving siblings of Amos and Emma Jorgenson.
She moved to Scottsdale, AZ in December 1971 and passed away
peacefully on August 1st, 2015. Her volunteer work at the VFW for
our Veterans, The Phoenix JC's, and The Parada Del Sol Committee
are well known. She lived a life of love and compassion, bringing joy
and fun to everyone that knew her. A wonderful Sister, Aunt, Mother
and Grandmother and friend who now leaves behind her daughter Pat,
her son Michael and her two grandchildren, Joelle and Christopher. She
also considered Paul her son from her marriage to Richard Seidenkranz
who passed away on Easter Sunday of this year. She will be deeply
missed by all of the lives that she touched especially by Michael and Pat
who were given the opportunity to have an Angel for a Mom!
Godspeed 'Betty Boop'!
Her ashes will be laid to rest in Strawberry, AZ sometime in September.
Anyone interested in attending, please leave an entry on this site or
contact her son Michael or daughter Pat. Thank You All for being a friend to the 'Booper'! God Bless.
Ode to 'Betty Boop' Tansey
They all knew her as 'Betty Boop'
A quick-witted little spitfire
Truly fun and joyous to be around
Compassionate and loving was her loop
She came to be a Mother
And raised two kids almost on her own
With the help of a good neighbor and friend
Began a career as an escrow officer
No matter how busy she became
President of VFW Ladies Auxiliary
Arranging for the parade
She always remained calm and tame
When Dicky began his courting
Her empty heart was filled again
A true bond of Love was formed
That no one can dispute its making
"Lets go Dicky! Sky-miles are collecting"
To exotic places they would go
The "Energized Bunny" was always ready
A Life of Fun once again she was embarking
Heartbreak and loss took its toll
News of another brother dying
Her whole body filled with cancer
Hope diminished and left her soul
Her life was filled with such joy
Her love for others was unsurpassed
But it was time to go Home and be with Dicky
So she left peacefully into Jesus' Ploy
We will all miss you Mom! M. A. T. 8/4/15
