Brenda Ann Ranney

Born on November 4, 1945, in Alexandria, Nebraska, Brenda was the daughter of Irma and Benjamin Headrick. She attended and graduated from Hebron High School in Hebron, Nebraska.

Brenda worked for the City of Scottsdale as an Information Systems Analyst until her retirement.

Brenda was married to Marc Archie Ranney. She was a devoted wife, mother, and incredible friend whose presence brought comfort, strength, and kindness to those who knew her.

Brenda loved animals and treasured time at the beach, especially in San Diego. Above all, she enjoyed being with her family, faithfully attending every sporting event for her children and her grandchildren—always present, always supportive.

Brenda was a member of their local Presbyterian church.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Marc Ranney; children Michelle (Jeffrey) Kurth; Shane Ranney (Larissa); Trace Ranney (Danielle); 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257, on March 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow.
