

Brian Reid Dunik, aged 66, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he had resided for the last fifteen years. He was born December 1,1958 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Shirley and Edward Dunik. After graduating from Paul Kane High School, St Albert, Alberta in 1976, his inquisitive mind and a thirst for knowledge led him to graduate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta and the University of Victoria, British Columbia. He married Catherine Poynter on August 12, 1988, in Vancouver, B.C, where they began their life together as soul mates and entrepreneurs, owning several successful businesses together. Brian loved exploring outdoors and traveling. He had a lifelong passion for music and was an avid squash player. With his wonderful sense of humor and compassionate heart, Brian made friends wherever he went. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Catherine, and predeceased and by his parents, Edward and Shirley. He is survived by many loving friends and family.
