David was born on October 7,1952 in Phoenix. Arizona and proudly grew up in the Garfield Neighborhood District. He attended Phoenix Union and Maryvale High Schools before joining the Army National Guard. Early on in his life, he was a journeyman butcher, which he carried on throughout his life, as well as a very proud Truck Driver in the Teamsters Union.
David is survived by his living families; Gregory & Temple Cyr and their children Brian Jr., Aspen, Delaney and Gregory III., Michael Lawson and his son Aydan, Kelly Lawson and her sons, Ian and Brixton, and Brian Fierros Sr, who he loved just like a son. He also left behind many nieces and nephews who were very near and dear to him. Preceding him in death are; his son, Christopher Lawson, parents; Andrew Jackson Lawson and Bonnie Mae Stigal, his siblings; Virginia "Mickey" Allen, Patricia Ann Cooley, Mary Kay Garcia and Freddie R. Lawson, and nephew Andrew Lawson.
David was loved by all, and had so many friendships over the years that have lasted throughout the course of his life. He will be deeply missed!
A quaint graveside service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 Hayden Rd, Scottsdale AZ, 85257. Officiating will be John Bayless.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Kiwanis Park, 5500 S. Mill Ave, Tempe AZ, 85283.
