Charles passed away peacefully on August 1, 2014, at the age of 86. Charles was born in Jacksonville, IL and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1954 where he met the love of his life. Charles and his wife were married for 54 wonderful years. Charles was a skilled architect who designed dozens of commercial buildings and churches around the Valley including projects he completed as a resident architect for Arizona State University. Additionally, he designed his family's first home in Mesa along with much of the mid-century furniture inside. He was also a gifted poet and nature photographer, an avid golfer and all around outdoorsman who took great pleasure in the quiet beauty of nature. He was a kind and gentle man with a big heart and a quick wit.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters, and many cherished friends.
