

To William and Fay Sutton in Johnson County Indiana and graduated from Center Grove High School in 1944, and worked for his father on the farm before serving
In the Army during WWII. After an Honorable discharge he purchased a farm with his brother Jim. Being creative, he and Jim built the first self-unloading farm wagons w/pto drive from tractors with the ability to unload materials from wagons to save a lot of hard labor by people with shovels etc. He was a hard worker, one day he sorted thru tomato vines for the ripe tomatoes and picked 100 hampers (3,300) pounds of ripe tomatoes. He married his loving wife Nancy Scharrer in 1950. Sold his half of the farm to his brother and moved to Arizona, helped Nancy raise two wonderful children (Sherry and Scott). He worked for United Producers Co-op, and purchased a citrus and date ranch growing, harvesting and retailing the fruit. He worked for Garrett Corporation (Honeywell) and retired after thirty good years with the company. He always tried to help people and tried to make things a little better. Charlie enjoyed basketball, golf, pingpong, horse shoe, hunting, at different stages of life. He was a past member of the Knights of Pythians, the Foresters, Moose, Scottsdale Masonic Blue Lodge #43, Scottish Rite and Shriner, Noble of the mystic shrine in the El Zariba Temple.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, mother, father and brothers Nelson, Jim and Oren. He is survived by Daughter Sherry Witt (husband Tom Witt) of Riverside, Ca and Scott Sutton of Phoenix. He has three step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Private grave site services were held at Green Acres Cemetery with Army Flag and Masonic ceremony.
