

Cuong Van Nguyen, 54, of Phoenix, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2014, due to a sudden, rare type of stroke. He was born on April 11, 1960, and was the fourth of five children. Cuong started out his career as a science teacher, where he enjoyed shaping young minds for a decade. He later ended up working in the technology sector for two decades at Comtech EF Data and devoted his time to solving information technology and satellite communication issues. He enjoyed business service trips to other countries as well as traveling with family. Cuong was skilled at various sports and was a talented musician. He had a great sense of humor that could light up a quiet room and would always go out of his way to help anyone in need. Cuong was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Thanh, and his daughter, Vi, as well as his older siblings, Van, Vinh, and Huong. Cuong was preceded in death by his father, Ngu, his mother, Tuyet, and his younger brother, Tuan. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Funeral arrangements were handled by Green Acres in Scottsdale, AZ, and services were held on April 21, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
