Dallas Calhoun Bivins Jr., Born in Roswell, Georgia, Dec. 11, 1929, and on Apr. 17, 2012 entered his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dallas was called to be a preacher of the Gospel at the age of 18, and his reaching/teaching ministry continued for the next 64 years. He pastored churches and taught at the college and seminary level while pursuing his Bachelor Degree at Carson-Newman College and a Doctorate of Theology at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His passion for an accurate understanding of the Word of God led him to become a well known scholar of the biblical Greek language. Dallas is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Mary Louise Bowery and Johnnie Anne Reber; sons, Dallas Bivins III, Mark Piller and David Piller; seven grandchildren; brother, Ken Bivins; sister, Andrea Peters; and niece, Barbara Hance. A celebration of his remarkable life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Calvary Community Church,
