Daniel William Franke

Daniel was born on July 29, 1945, to Milo and Evelyn Franke in Prineville, OR.

He married Diana Parrish on November 27, 1964, and she survives.

Daniel was ordained by the Assemblies of God Church on March 18, 1971, and was recognized for 50 years of service on April 22, 2021. Beginning his preaching career at the age of 15, he later pastored churches in Hazelton, ID, Glendale and Sutherlin, OR, and Sedona, Flagstaff, and Mesa, AZ. Throughout his ministry, he traveled as an evangelist doing missions work in various states along with missions work abroad in Guatemala, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Mexico and India.

Daniel Franke always had an adventurous and compassionate spirit. Ministry was not only a career, but his passion. He traveled to the World Pentecostal Conference in London at Westminster Abbey. While in the United Kingdom, he traveled to Wales and Scotland. Later in life he enjoyed restoring antique pieces and continued his pastoral ministry through counseling calls and evangelizing those he encountered while residing in Arbor Rose. Daniel’s love for the Gospel manifested in his love for music. He frequently enjoyed listening to praise and worship music, which he sang with those around him.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diana Franke; their son Rick (Sherece) Franke; their two daughters Ramara (Jesse) Merry and Charity (Dan) Hume; their grandchildren Caleb, Mackenzie, and Kaleigh Franke; Russell and James Merry; and Nick (Katelyn), Joshua, Justus, and Katelyn Hume; great-grandchild Piper Hume; his twin brother David Franke and his brother Jim Schroeder; and his sister Dolly Ziebart.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father and mother; his brother Don Franke; and his sister Loretta Overton.

A memorial service for Daniel will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Full Life Church, 532 W Ray Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85225.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Rev. Dan W. Franke's funeral fund to assist his wife with expenses of his passing.
