Born on May 5, 1942, Darlene was educated at Kincaid Public School and later graduated from Taylorville High School.
Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple pleasures; listening to live music, dancing and laughing with friends, and hosting lively gatherings filled with laughter and warmth. Her love for music and celebration was matched only by her deep appreciation for time spent with family.
Darlene is lovingly remembered by her husband, Barrett O'Connor; her children, James Rodden and Theresa Rodden-Basso; and her stepchildren, Kelly O'Connor-Lebedun, Sean O'Connor, Erin O'Connor-Madden, and Brian O'Connor. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Francis Floyd, and her stepfather, Adrian “Bud” Floyd.
