Denise was born in Cook County, Illinois, on August 23, 1940.
She graduated from Aquinas High School. The only deaf student in attendance, Denise faced and overcame many challenges and hurdles and was an example of strength, perseverance, and fortitude.
Denise married her husband David Michael Lepley on September 1, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois.
They eventually settled in Scottsdale, Arizona where they lived for most of their married lives. Married for 60 years, David and Denise were a devoted couple and a sterling example of commitment and faithfulness.
Denise was a member of The United Church of God for over 50 years and traveled yearly with the Deaf group to Church Conventions held all over the U.S. including Hawaii, Alaska and one year in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Denise lived her faith by loving and praying for everyone, and in return she was treasured and cherished by all who knew her.
Although faced with communication challenges, Denise communicated her love and support to all loud and clear. The biggest argument Denise had with many of her friends was who loved the other more!
She had a passion for sewing and her collection of over 140 ceramic Boyd Bears.
Denise is survived by her loving husband, David, her sister, Laurel Williams, and countless friends who will never forget the impact she had on their lives.
A graveside service for Denise will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.greenacresmortuary.net for the Lepley family.
