Dolores A. Asmussen

Dolores Alva Asmussen, 88, of Scottsdale, AZ. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at the Sherman Home Hospice in Phoenix on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Alva and Viva Auble, her husband of 52 years, Bill C. Asmussen, her sister Donna Mae Roltsch, and brother Alva Auble Jr. both of MI., and is survived by sister Mary DeYoung, brother Herb Auble Jr. both of MI., four sons, William (Phyllis) of AZ., Robert (Barbara) of AR., James and Thomas (Beth) both of TX., 9 grandchildren, Tara, Ryan, Jason, Danny Nathan, Quinn, Hanna, Iris, Karen of NZ, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and friend and companion Bob Dresher. Born in Muskegon, MI. on Dec. 18, 1923, moved to the valley in 1958. Dolores was a registered nurse, retired from the Scottsdale School Dist., loved to travel, was a devoted Willie Nelson fan and just wanted to have fun. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February, 11, 2012 in Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ. 85257.
