Donald Lapre, 47, passed on October 2, 2011. Don was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 19, 1964, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with his family at 7 years old. He attended Sunnyslope High School and worked as a manager at Gemco at 18 years of age. He met and married his wife of 23years Sally Redondo and they had two beautiful children together. Don’s kids were his pride and joy. He was the best father anyone could ever ask for. Don was a born entrepreneur and was self-employed starting as a painter at 19 years old and from there went on to produce and be a part of many infomercials. He was nicknamed “King of Infomercials”. Don loved the ocean but his greatest love was doing for others. He was the most generous man in the world. To know don was to love him. We will forever miss his warm smile and loving heart. We will also miss his greeting of “Wazz up!!!” He is survived by his wife Sally, son “Bear” Lapre, daughter Tori Lapre, two brothers Mike and Brian Lapre, sisters Debbie Rozzell and Michelle Milburn and parents Wilfred and Shirley Lapre. My Memory of Don is strange. Back in the 80's is when I first came across his infomercial. I paid for his program and sure enough within a month, I had money orders coming into the mail. My family became so jealous of what I had learned that believe it or not it ultimately turned into a 30-year war. My Family hated the fact that at such a young age I was starting to receive a better income than them. I won't go into the bad details I just want to say he (Don), was awesome. Now because of his teachings that have now evolved into selling online, I have built an awesome 5 to 6 figure a month business for me and my son. Sadly Don was buried on my Birthday. My Birthday is 10/10/1061. Today is August 25th, 2018. I just read about the date he passed and was buried. After all these years I still remember the joy of knowing I would experience Financial Freedom and Don was the first Person who reassured and instilled that in me at such a young age. I will stop babbling and just say RIP My Friend and many blessings to his remaining family. God Bless!

I bought Don's books. It all made sense to me! I started placing ads for a DIY Home Inspection Manual for Realtors & Home Sellers while I was doing my Carpentry Apprenticeship. I got quite a few calls within 3 days so I went with it & created a step-by-step guide on how to inspect every aspect of your home.

Placing ads isn't so cheap, but there was a new thing called e-bay, so I tried it. I sold it for $14.95 in the Carpentry Manuals Category. I saved it as a PDF & emailed it to customers so they could print it. I wanted to save on CD's & having to mail them out. For the 1st 6 months I was the only one selling a manual in that category. Within 6 months there were 20 other Home Inspection Manuals selling in that category for $4.95 on a CD & crushed me with their incredible computer graphics.

Don was always my inspiration though, and when I needed answers I picked up his books to learn from his words. I spent years learning HTML on the internet to create a website 1 day & sell manuals. I was also passionate about sports. Eventually, I created tripleplaysportspicks.com

Don you are part of my soul. God Bless you, you inspired me to succeed. A week ago I looked at your books and then googled your name looking for inspiration & found out you passed away. I'm shocked and saddened. The world lost such a good hearted soul. I want to say some really bad things about the ones who did this to you but this is not the place. There's only happiness for you now. I will pray for your family everyday always & wish them the best. I know you are watching over them & looking out for them & they are in good hands because of you. What a great soul you are. You made the world a better place & truly helped so many people succeed it's mind blowing. Cheers Don, Thank you.

This is awkward, I found out today that Mr.Dapre passed, with great dismay. I grew up in a poor family and Mr. Dapre's infomercials planted the seed for my ambition to work for myself. I consider Mr. Dapre a mentor and the only inspiration to do your best. RIP Don Lapre.

I miss a guy I never met but inspired me nonetheless with my favorite quote of his. "It doesn't make sense to work for someone else, you start your own thing"
