

Donald Ray Lienhart was born in Elkhart, Indiana in 1943. He was the youngest of seven children. Don graduated from Concord High School in 1961 and served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1969. He received an honorable discharge.
In his younger years Don was a Boy Scout, an Honor Student and acted in high school plays. It was at a cast party that he invited Sandy on their first date. On November 10, 1963 Don married Sandy Yoder in Goshen Indiana. They were married for 58 years. She survives along with their daughters Tammy Lienhart, Tonya Martin and grandson Mathew Martin, and a sister, Nancy Kline. He was preceded by three sisters Lillian Kelly, Marjorie Glanders and Doris LaBrie, and two brothers Walter and Everett Lienhart.
Wherever Don and Sandy lived Don was very active in church. He was on many church boards, a Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader, a greeter and worked during every work day at church. He was a loving family man. Don enjoyed traveling, going to garage sales and working on various projects with his family.
He retired in 2009 from Control Data/BT. For several years Don battled Parkinson’s and dementia and died on January 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, where the US Navy Honor Guard will render military honors. There will be a viewing from noon to 2:00. A reception will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 at 401 North Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 95257.
