Edith Maude Pitts

Edith M. Pitts, 85, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022. Born January 13, 1937, in El Paso TX to William & Isabel Morris, raised in Raton NM. She lived her last 56 years in AZ and was an only sister to Dorothy Berkner who survives her. She was mother to John (Leeanne), Thomas (deceased), Norman (deceased), Bradley (Rebecca) Floyd and daughter Brenda (deceased) and Becki Fewell, and beloved mother-in-law to Leeanne, Rebecca, Bennie and Mary Torrez. She was adored by her grandchildren Jesse, Thomas (deceased), Justin, Michael (deceased), Stephen, Ashley, John and Hailee and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Kayla, Bradyn and McKenna.

Edith was a marvelous mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, retired rancher, restaurateur, linotypist, Realtor-broker, avid reader, writer, bridge player, lunch date, mentor, companion, dog lover, advisor, tax preparer, landlord, heart transplant recipient, and a wonderful friend to many.

Edith will be greatly missed. Her celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 3, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ at 1:00 p.m., snacks and light fare will be served afterwards.
