Edward "Eddie" Carrillo

With extreme sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Edward "Eddie" Carrillo on December 27, 2021. He was a fun, loving, and charismatic friend, father, husband, brother, and son. His wife Rachel, of 22 years, survived him and children, Gabriel, Ashley, and Daniel; his siblings, Guillermo (Memo), Michael (Mike), Martha, and Janneth; and his parents, Guillermo and Nelly. Eddie will be deeply missed.

Dedicating over 18 years as a Correctional Officer for Salt River Department of Corrections, Corporal Carrillo earned respect and admiration for his devotion. Eddie had a captivating personality and a great heart for people. These qualities, along with his wit, sense of humor, and care, touched the lives of all the people he knew.

Eddie had a soft heart and gave the best hugs despite his "larger than life" figure and protective nature. He was a great provider to his family, holding high standards while striving to better himself and others. Eddie was a humble karaoke master, cigar aficionado, sports enthusiast, and prolific traveler.

A visitation for Eddie will commence on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
