Ed was born to Clara and Richard Hintz on January 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.
He graduated from Lincoln High School and received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Ed and his wife Irene were married on September 2, 1950 in Van Dyke, Michigan.
He had a career as the superintendent of both the Westwood Heights and Kearsley school districts, and his passions were family, travel, and golf.
Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Hintz.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Irene Hintz; his children, Richard Hintz, Lori Harris, Terri Pugliano, and Kelli Pedersen; as well as his 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Edward will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
