Elaine grew up in Emmett, which was a small agriculture community involved in the fruit packing industry. Elaine enjoyed working in the orchards with her father and mother picking cherries, apples, and apricots.
Later Elaine moved to Livingston, Montana where she was employed at Wilcoxson’s Ice Cream and Candy Company. It was here that she met her future husband Henry (Hank) Hansen. Together they had three sons. Howard Anthony, Shawn Paul, and Todd Christopher. Married for sixty-one years, with the last fifty-six years in Arizona. Elaine worked for over fifteen years at Motorola and Micro REL/Medtronic’s in Tempe.
Elaine enjoyed gardening, classic country music, and collecting various knick-knacks. She especially loved decorating the house on Christmas with her extensive Christmas village collection. She also collected Beanie Babies, Hot Wheel Cars and Crackle Glass vases which she hoped one day would fund a long retirement. You see, her mother lived 101 years and Elaine was hoping for the same great fortune. Over the last few years, she collected a few close friends who enjoyed playing cards and each other’s companionship.
Elaine is survived by her husband Henry in Tempe, sons Shawn in Chandler and Todd in Tempe, grandson Vincent Hansen and great-grandson Oliver Andrew Jones in Boise ID. She was proceeded in death by her parents; Hugh and Anna, her six siblings; Darwin, Larry, Marion, Monte, Avril and Elva, and her eldest son Howard who recently passed away December 15, 2021.
