Erin Elizabeth Peak

Erin Elizabeth Peak of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 2, 2021. Erin was born with a huge amount of long black hair with an orange halo around her head. We knew she was special right from the start! Because of her flaming red hair she earned several nicknames, Flares, Hair Bear, and Erin the Red Baron, among others. Erin was born in Durham, NC on September 10, 1969. She had numerous talents such as her masterful cooking, extreme attention to detail and her ability to have everyone around her laughing in no time. She loved from her heart and she was loved by many. Erin did not have children of her own, however, she was a "mom" to her nephews and nieces and her cat popcorn. She had an extremely special bond with all of her 11 "children". She attended University of North Carolina in Wilmington and had a successful career in the mortgage industry. She found love and was married to Scott Sledge who preceded her in death. She was survived by her six siblings; Dore Gruener (Mark), Dan Peak (Jennifer), Ryan Peak, Damon Peak, Shannon Winchester (Greg) and Amy Smith (Michael), and her nieces and nephews; Emily and Anna Martin, Kylie, Jackson and Bailey Peak, Alex, John and David Winchester, Lauren and Maggie Peak, and Landon Smith.
